What is it like to start the day with the predicament of juggling through the work routine lingering over your mind? From the moment we start from our homes to sleep time, we have been doing tasks with half-hearted efforts and reach to a level of mediocrity over a period of time. The price that we pay for mediocrity is shrinking enthusiasm and dwindling appetite to hone skills that we are passionate about. When we inculcate the habit of paying attention to mundane things and react to the whims and fancies of our supervisors, we tend to deviate from the relevance and grandeur scheme of what life has in store for us. Being numb to the manipulative and cut-throat competitive nature of the corporate environment is a good start to break our shells and disrupt the momentum of society that makes us aggressive. This approach prepares us to be resilient to organized chaos and perceive stuff in a more holistic manner.
Living safely generally means living in imitation and therefore in fear. I wonder how many of us are pausing for a brief moment in our regular routine to enjoy the breathtaking sight of sunset or get drenched during monsoon rains. The intensity of insatiable longing to widen an individual’s horizon determines the scope of experiencing intrinsic happiness. This kind of fabric requires unflinching levels of endurance in order to consciously come out of the zone that we are familiar with. The term “endurance” is used here because we shouldn’t be susceptible to negative triggers or be bounded by strong attachment of a familiar experience. Nature has not only given us privilege to mint money but also allow to discover our in-born tendencies.
Preadolescence is the ideal period to discover and tap hidden potential of a person provided healthy space is facilitated.  Strumming of guitar strings or hitting cover drives through the sweet spot of a well-oiled bat or dabbling with tennis racket may put oneself in an epiphany and provides an opportunity to grow within since there is an activity of wholeness. Else, we might have to undergo episodes of brooding dissent and exhaustive introspection in late 20’s resulting in more strenuous pursuit of unbridled joy.
Do you have the appetite to step out of your familiar zone and wander in the unchartered territory to tap your natural inclinations?
